icosi-do

Interesting concept but everything feels so tedious…
Navigating through the menu is the first real puzzle and what will probably make you quit instantly. You can’t have a menu like that and shouldn’t have to read a manual in order to try to understand it, it needs a rework.

I still solved a few levels (8 or 9). While I think the concept is interesting, this is clearly not for everyone. If you’re not used to Rubik’s Cube types of puzzles, you’ll just end up being quickly stuck at the end of the puzzles without being able to grasp the logic behind them. This is exactly the same feeling you get after completing 1-2 faces of a Rubik’s Cube; if you never learned how to properly solve them, it’s just impossible. The tutorial only explains what you have to do, it doesn’t help you understand the more serious puzzles you have after and that’s really discouraging.

Unfortunately, I can’t recommend icosi-do but there’s a demo if you’re interested.
