Platonic

Difficulty : 3/5 (Rather Hard)
Global : 3/5 (Very Good)
Platonic is a 3D puzzle game in which you explore 5 areas and solve their puzzles.
This is not really an open world, you might think it’s a witness-like game but it’s not; there are not that many puzzles, the main ones are pretty big in scale and at least half of the game is linear.
Most of the puzzles involve the manipulation and alteration of the environment, the areas are like mazes and you need to figure out how to progress. So you need to be methodical in order not to struggle too much or get lost.
Thorough observation and memorization of your environment are also key in order not to miss any important detail. This maze-like aspect can repel people but I found it to be very well done and not frustrating at all.
You also gather hints that you have to screenshot in order to help you solve the other, more classic, logic puzzles. These puzzles can have a hint in an area and the solution in another. The way the areas are interconnected is nicely done, sometimes you will observe a detail that reminds you of an area, go there and find another solution at a previous puzzle.
It’s hard to rate the difficulty of that game. I personnally didn’t get stuck at all but some puzzles still required full focus, some were quite obscure and easily missable… so I would say the game is rather hard, especially near the end.
Overall, Platonic is a solid puzzle game and a very pleasant experience.
Recommended, as long as you don’t mind a bit of confusion.
