Baba Is You

Baba Is You is an original masterpiece of creativity and puzzle design.

The goal is simple : you control something that is you (usually Baba) and you have to reach something that is win (usually a flag). Indeed, the form you and the winning element have depends on the rules written in the level. Each word is a block you can push and they form rules based on how they are organized.
The fact that changing the rules themselves is the main mechanic of this game leads to a very wide variety of puzzles, the dev was clearly inspired and fully used the potential of their game.

So yes, the goal is simple but finding the solutions is another story. The game starts like any game, with easy levels acting as tutorials to show you how the game works. But the difficulty quickly increases, and by a lot. Baba is among the hardest puzzle game I’ve ever played, it has a lot of nightmarish levels and becomes extremely hard halfway through. I really doubt many people reached the true end (and even fewer without hints).

A must, easily at the top of puzzle games.
